PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III has urged the Ilonggo voters to continue the Daang Matuwid advocacy that his administration has started through his anointed presidential candidate Mar Roxas.

The President told the more than 37,000 crowd at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand area on Tuesday, the first day of the campaign period, that the proven good governance brings progress to the country and his team is working for its continuity even if his term ends this year.

Aquino led the Liberal Party's (LP) lineup in visiting Roxas City on Tuesday morning and in Iloilo City in the afternoon.

Accompanying the President are some of his Cabinet secretaries who were instrumental in accomplishing development projects in Capiz, Pavia municipality and Iloilo City -- all in Western Visayas.

Also present during the campaign were Leni Robredo, the LP's vice presidential candidate, senatorial candidates Franklin Drilon, Mark Lapid, Leila de Lima, Yna Ambolodto, TG Guingona, Cris Paez, Kiko Pangilinan, Riza Hontiveros, Jericho Petilla, Ralph Recto, and Joel Villanueva.
