MANILA -- Former President and Pampanga 2nd district Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo surprisingly arrived at the orientation seminar for first-time lawmakers at the House of Representatives Thursday.

Arroyo, arriving three hours late than scheduled, did not entertain any questions from the press when she arrived and before she left the Batasang Pambansa complex.

Former Senior Deputy Majority Leader and Mandaluyong Representative Neptali "Boyet" Gonzales II, who was discussing the legislative rules when Arroyo arrived, said the fact that she came was an indication she wants to start working.

“It's a good indication that she has adopted to the rules as congresswoman,” said Gonzales while adding that there would be no special treatment given to her as former President. (Kathrina Alvarez/Sunnex)
