MANILA -- Just a day after leaving the halls of Malacanang Palace, newly-sworn Pampanga 2nd district Representative and former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo filed eight bills and her first House resolution seeking an amendment to the Philippine Constitution.

The resolution, filed on the first day of July, a month before the 15th Congress starts session, was co-authored with his son Camarines Sur Representative Diosdado "Dato" Arroyo.

Members of the media however failed to obtain a copy from the Bills and Index Division of the House of Representatives.

Raymund Sabarre, the assistant chief-of-staff of Representative Dato, explained the bills that have passed even the first reading are not considered as public documents.

“It's just a normal resolution calling for a constitutional convention,” Sabarre told Sun.Star. (Kathrina Alvarez/Sunnex)
