CLARK FREEPORT -- Officials of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and some private groups visited recently the proposed site of the research institute for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) here.

Erlinda Borromeo, founding president of Autism Hearts Foundation (AHF), said Clark Freeport is an ideal site for Autism Institute of Asia (AIA) -- a first in the Philippines and in Asia.

She said the institute is eyed as a local center for persons with ASD.

CDC President Benigno Ricafort said the corporation will establish AIA in partnership with AHF and the Subic-Clark Alliance for Development Council.

Mind Institute, University of California Davis, Autism Speaks in New York, and the Philippine Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics are also part of the endeavor, Ricafort added. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
