Bacolod health office raises dengue alert

THE Bacolod City Health Office (CHO) has raised the dengue alert with the onset of rainy season.

Dr. Jovy Vergara, acting city health officer, said dengue cases are expected to increase between June and August.

CHO records showed higher incidence of dengue were reported in the city’s big barangays. Taculing has 19 cases; Estefania and Villamonte, 14 each; Alijis, nine; Barangay 35, Mandalagan, Mansilingan, and Tangub, eight each; Singcang-Airport, six; Bata, five; and Granada, four.
