ANGELES CITY -- Aspiring regional rural banking champion Bank of Florida (BOF) opened over the weekend its 15th branch here and launched two new products that will cater to doctors and entrepreneurs.

The Angeles City branch is located along the central business district in Sto. Rosario Street and is the newest addition to the 50-year-old bank’s network across Central Luzon.

“As we aspire to become the regional champion in the rural banking industry, we are similarly thrilled to be a partner for inclusive growth in Angeles City and deliver our relevant deposit and loan products, as well as our customer-centric services,” said BOF chair and president Teresa David-Carlos.

David-Carlos said that the two new products -- the doctors and vehicle loans -- are designed to address needs for additional capital and investments.

“The loan for doctors ranges from P50,000 to P500,000 to help them enhance their practice or the need for medical equipment and others, while the vehicle loan could be availed of by entrepreneurs for additional capital using their automobiles as collateral. These and our other products and services are designed for each need as we want to be part of your story. Truly, it’s all about you,” she said.

Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan said BOF's presence in Angeles City is proof of a robust and vibrant local economy.

“Very recently, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas cited the increase in deposits in the region. That and what I believe are ready loans to be rolled out are proof of a robust economy and vibrant investment atmosphere. We are very happy and proud to have you with us in Angeles City,” he said.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting cited five reasons why BOF is “truly on its way to becoming a regional rural banking industry champion.”

“First, Bank of Florida is really a caring bank because of how you serve your clients. Second, you are a cultural bank which values culture and heritage as evident in your structures and activities. Third, the bank is indeed a community bank with your social responsibility to communities around your offices. Fourth, you are a committed bank always ready to serve people like farmers with unique products. And fifth, you are indeed a champion bank because you do what you do best,” Vega-Cabigting said.
