BM: Capitol has funds for employees' bonuses

Sunnexdesk

BACOLOD Second District Board Member Salvador Escalante assured provincial government employees that Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., or the Capitol for that matter, still has funds for their bonuses.

“There are many ways to kill a cat," said Escalante when asked about the bonus of the Capitol employees since the Provincial Board can no longer approve additional budget for personal services.

Aside from extra cash gift, the employees usually receive a performance enhancement incentive.

Escalante said that huge operational expenses went to the hospitals run by the provincial government, but the general fund is within the budget.

He pointed out that there is a guideline that bonuses for local government employees should not exceed P75,000 each. Last year, the Capitol employees received P50,000 each as extra and incentive bonuses. (TDE)
