Business One Stop Shop operation extended

John Dave N. Casas

THE operation of the Business One Stop Shop (Boss), the simplified procedure of acquiring business registration and renewal, has been extended until January 31.

The Boss, located at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar, will resume operation Monday, January 22 until January 31 from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The extension of the Boss operation is in response to the request of City Licensing Officer Benjie Barredo.

Barredo said the extension will allow the Boss to “complete the process of renewal and issuance of all applications for business permits considering that it is impossible to complete the renewal and issuance of business permits on Jan. 20, 2018.”

The original first quarter deadline for the payment of taxes is January 20.

The extension of BOSS operation also came after Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar approved City Ordinance 2018-180, which extends the payment of the city taxes and fees for the first quarter of 2018 to the end of January 2018, amending for the purpose Section 4 of Ordinance 92-008, entitled “Revenue Ordinance of the City of Zamboanga and Providing Penalty Thereof.”
