Cebu grad ranks 1st in Mechanical Engineering exam

A GRADUATE of the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue (UCLM) topped the March 2017 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination.

Brylle Gilbuena ranked first in the licensure examination with a rating of 88.10 percent. He is the only graduate in Cebu who belongs to the top 10.

Gilbuena is followed by Niño Rey Jacoba Caraig, a Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Maragondon graduate, with a rating of 87.80 percent. Ariel Pulmon Conversion of Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology landed third with a rating of 87.45 percent.

Four students from Batangas State University - Batangas City made it to the top ten with the ranks 4th, 5th, 7th, and 9th.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that out of 1,904 examinees, 1,083 passed the 2017 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination and 19 out of 39 passed the Certified Plant Mechanic Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in Cebu and Manila this March 2017.
