THE Parian Police Station in Cebu City conducted a surprise inspection of their detention cell yesterday dawn. Senior Insp. Narrolf Tan said they confiscated several items from the detainees. “We confiscated a broken mirror, several belts and cellphones. The mirror alone may be used as a weapon if a fight will occur inside their cell,” he said. No illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia were confiscated. Tan said they plan to do surprise inspections inside the detention cell twice a month. (JOB)
