Jojo Garbo Erediano

THE Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) will implement a temporary rerouting scheme for vehicles to give way for the ceremonial switching of the Christmas lights at the City Hall here on Friday night, December 1.

In an advisory, the RTA announced it will close Capistrano street-- bounded by Toribio Chaves St., Gaerlan St. and Fernandez St.-- for the Christmas lighting dubbed as the "Symphony of Lights".

All public utility and private vehicles from Carmen area, when traversing Vamenta Boulevard, are temporarily rerouted to pass via the Kagay-an towards the Poblacion area and beyond. While all public and private vehicles from Poblacion area, upon reaching either Capistrano St., Hayes St., and Fernandez St., will be rerouted to pass towards Velez St., then to Rodelsa Circle and to Kagay-an Bridge towards the Carmen area.

Except on some designated areas, the RTA will also implement no parking for all types of vehicles, especially in the area where the launching of Symphony of Lights will be conducted.

Private motorists are also advised to take any passable road in the city, and to possibly take the farthest route to avoid the traffic gridlock while the launching is going on.
