City Hall to donate patrol cars to city police

BACOLOD City government vowed to donate the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) six new patrol cars, confirmed Sunday by city Police Director Celestino Guara.

Guara said the donation will boost BCPO’s function in terms of mobility.

Some police precincts in the city have dilapidated patrol cars and the new patrol car coming will ease the problem, added Guara.

Guara also planned to ask the City Council for additional gasoline allowance of the BCPO.

Meanwhile, he confirmed that Police Precinct No. 2 located at Mandalagan will be relocated in April this year.

He said his office has received notification from the owner of the property where the BCPO stands at present.

The owner has asked BCPO to vacate the area because they needed the space for a business.

Guara said his office is now considering of another businessman offering his property at the Sto. Niño Stop, Barangay 2, Bacolod City for the new site of the Police Station 2.

Guara said he would also consult and ask permission from the Barangay 2 officials about the relocation plan.
