Cops arrest alleged rapist in Carcar

POLICE arrested an alleged rapist in a baranay in Carcar City, on the evening of All Saints Day, Wednesday, November 1.

Chief Inspector Randy Korret, the city police commander, said suspect Mark Anthony Manlapaz, who is known as Makoy in the neighborhood, was arrested 7 p.m., in Sitio Pobren, Barangay Can-asujan, Carcar City. He did not resist arrest.

The 20-year-old suspect was arrested based on the warrant of arrest issued by Toledo City Regional Trial Court Branch 29 Judge Hermes Montero. The offense is non-bailable.

He will be brought to court which will issue an order to detain him in a jail facility. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
