A NEW commander will take the helm of the Zamboanga Peninsula Police Office (ZPPO) Tuesday after a simple turn over rites at Camp Romeo Abendan, a police official said.

ZPPO spokesman Jose Bayani Gucela said outgoing ZCPO chief Angel Sunglao will relinquish his post to incoming chief Edwin Corvera.

Sunglao was reassigned as chief of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations (Dipo)-West Vice Director Felizardo Serapio, who retired last June 13.

Sunglao and Serapio are classmates in the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) class of 1977.

Corvera, on the other hand, came from the Police Aviation Security Group. He is a member of PMA class 1979.

Philippine National Police Director-General Jesus Versoza is expected to grace the turn-over of command ceremonies. (Bong Garcia)
