CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Pampanga reiterated that the “no collection” policy is still in effect in all public schools.

In an interview at “Pampanga Kaluguran da ka” aired over at RW95.1 FM, Dr. Leonardo “Ding” Zapanta, Pampanga schools superintendent, reminded parents that schools are not allowed to collect fees especially this graduation season.

Zapanta said graduation expenses are chargeable against the Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) funds of schools.

“The budget allotted for elementary graduates is P313 per student. In secondary, P300 is allotted per completer,” the superintendent added.

Although the DepEd implements the “no collection policy,” Zapanta said parents can opt to voluntarily contribute or donate to fund graduation rites.

The schools superintendent also advised parents to talk to the principal or go directly to the division office if questions arise regarding the said policy. (Liezel Cayanan/Pampanga PIO)
