BIBLES and rosaries will replace coffins when Oplan Tokhang Reloaded is launched in Cebu City.

Supt. Cheryl Boniao, spokesperson of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), said they will conduct a focus group discussion with religious organizations that are willing to join the operation tomorrow.

“We invited them to be with us and to share information where we will also ask them (for their) input on the announcement of our PNP chief,” Boniao said.

Guidelines on safety and how they can help police encourage drug users and pushers to stop their involvement in the illegal drug trade will be tackled during the discussion at 2 p.m. in the conference room of CCPO.

The CCPO invited 12 religious groups composed of Roman Catholics, Christians and Muslims.

“Almost all of the groups we invited expressed their participation because they already have programs of their own,” she said.
