THE Department of Health (DOH)-Davao warns the public regarding unauthorized solicitation of groups of individual and organizations using the name of the department to raise funds.

In a released statement, DOH-Davao Regional Director Doctor Abdullah Dumama Jr. said the regional office received reports that certain individuals claiming to be their representatives are soliciting money from various donors.

He said the illegal solicitors carried out support-for-a-cause activities for the benefit of internally displaced persons of the ongoing battle in Marawi City.

"I did not allow anybody to solicit funds for any cause under my name and other DOH officials," Dumama said.

He assured the public that DOH-Davao do not conduct any fund raising activities as it continuously extended its support and delivered needed health services to the affected people in Marawi City within the bounds of law.

Dumama urged everyone to contact DOH-Davao as soon as they suspect any illegal solicitors for these to be dealt accordingly and be penalized to the fullest extent of the law.
