Duterte gives P250K cash aid for each Davao blast victim

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has granted P250,000 each for the severely injured as well as relatives of slain victims of the night market bombing in Davao City.

In a gathering at the city's Matina Enclaves on late Monday, the President handed out the government's cash assistance to those who were permanently disabled by the blast and to the family of the 15 victims who died at the explosion.

Duterte also gave P100,000 cash aid and medical assistance, including allowances for antibiotics, to each victims who sustained minor injuries.

At least 70 individual have been injured in the bombing incident in Davao City on September 2.

The Abu Sayyaf group initially owned up the deadly blast but later on said that it was their allied group who was behind the explosion.

Following the incident, Duterte has declared a national emergency to suppress lawless violence in the country. (Sunnex)
