Present during the contract signing was GMA Network Senior Vice President for Entertainment Wilma Galvante, EVP and COO Gilberto Duavit Jr., Chairman, President, and CEO Felipe Gozon, and Edu's manager June Torrejon.

The actor will host the upcoming game show "Asar Talo Pero Laging Panalo".

Edu had a short vacation after the May 2010 elections.

He eyed the Vice Presidential post under then ruling party Lakas-Kampi-CMD but only settled at the fifth spot with more than 800,000 votes.

Before Edu started his campaign, he resigned from ABS-CBN's game show "Pilipinas Game Ka Na Ba" and was replaced by his son Luis until the game show ended.

Earlier, defeated gubernatorial bet and actor Cesar Montano also signed a contract with the Kapuso channel. He is now part of show "Ilumina".
