Farmer dies, wife survives gun attack in Zamboanga Sibugay

A FARMER died while his wife survived although wounded in a gun attack in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Sunday, November 19.

The Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office identified the victims as Ronillo Duhaylungsod, 39, and his wife, Jenalyn, 35.

They were rushed but Ronillo failed to reached the hospital alive, the police said.

The police said the incident occurred around 10:45 p.m., Saturday, November 18, at Purok 4, Sitio Lunot in the village of Lower Tungawan, Tungawan, Zamboangaj Sibugay.

The police said that investigation showed the couple was asleep when a lone gunman barged in and repeatedly shot them. (SunStar Philippines)
