FDA warns against 5 unregistered food products

John Kevin D. Pilapil / Correspondent

THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued another advisory to all consumers against the purchase of five food products that have not passed through them for quality evaluation.

FDA is referring to the following products: Furuta Chocolat l’additon milk chocolate + strawberry cream, Pizza Pretzel, Great Value California Raisins, Imperial Violet Caramel Cream Cracker, and Japan Home Chili Flakes.

The five food products had not been issued the Certificate of Product Registration, which assures good quality of the product, thus, the FDA cannot guarantee their quality and safety.

These food products including food supplements should not bear any misleading, deceptive, and false claims in their labels and/or any promotional materials that will provide erroneous impression on products’ character or identity.

The public is advised not to purchase the products, while all concerned establishments are warned not to distribute the identified products until they have already been covered by the appropriate authorization. (ICT)
