MANILA – Sophomore point guard Ryan Roose Garcia grabs the UAAP Press Corps Player of the Week honors after powering title favorite Far Eastern University for a near first-round sweep.

Garcia beat Ateneo's Eric Salamat and University of the East guard Paul Lee in the weekly citation also backed by Terrilicious meat products and Gatorade.

FEU coach Glenn Capacio has a lot of nice words for Garcia, who is undoubtedly the Tamaraws’ heart and soul.

Garcia saved FEU from the jaws of defeat in regulation in a thrilling 84-80 double overtime triumph over La Salle last Thursday.

It was a splendid all-around game for Garcia, who finished with 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks.
