Garma is new Sta. Ana police chief

A HUGE responsibility greeted Police Superintendent Royina M. Garma as he took his job as the new station commander of Sta. Ana Police Station in Davao City.

Garma formally accepted his new position as chief of precinct one Monday, replacing Police Superintendent Ceazar P. Cabuhat.

Garma became chief of Sasa Police Station for two years after supervising Calinan Police Station.

According to Garma, it's a challenge to continue the programs started by Cabuhat, especially his campaign against drugs in his area of responsibility (AOR).

"Challenge ko ito. Kahit saan isang challenge yan kung ano yung magandang nasimulan ng inyong napakagaling na hepe, so ipagpatuloy at dadagdagan natin ang sipag," Garma said in the turnover ceremony.

The Sta. Ana Police Station is the precinct in the city with the largest AOR out of 12 police stations in the city.

Three precincts have recently changed chiefs due to the directive of the Davao City Police Office. (Jeepy P. Compio)
