THE Schoenstatt community in Cebu is hosting “Hearts Afire,” a pre-Valentine dinner-for-a- cause at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 11 in the auditorium of their hilltop Spirituality Center in Lawaan, Talisay City.

There will be roses, love songs by the acoustic duo Glynis Gozo and Anton Mansueto, and dancing to make the evening memorable for couples and families.

The event aims to help raise funds for the Schoenstatt national convention in September and activities for the 50th death anniversary of the founder of the Schoenstatt movement, Fr. Joseph Kentenich.

The dinner, initiated by the Schoenstatt Youth in past years during Valentine’s Day, is being held earlier than usual since Feb. 14 falls on Ash Wednesday, a day of fasting and abstinence in the Catholic calendar.
