A MAN was killed in a shooting incident on Tuesday afternoon, August 3, in Sitio Palm Lodge, Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.

The fatality was identified as Monolito Sencil, an alleged hitman of self-confessed drug lord Franz Sabalones.

Operatives of the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) said that Sencil and an unidentified companion were on board an all-terrain vehicle when they met with the police's decoy buyer for an illegal transaction at 4 p.m.

After sensing that police were nearby, Sencil allegedly pulled a .45 caliber pistol and started shooting at RSOG and Drug Enforcement Unit-Central Visayas operatives.

The police operatives returned fire and hit Sencil in the chest.

Sencil managed to walk a few meters away from the vehicle before he died. (SunStar Cebu)
