Jackfruit vendor nabbed for carrying gun

A 34-YEAR-OLD jackfruit vendor was arrested on the second day of the nationwide gun ban in Dumanjog town, Cebu, MOnday, October 2.

Town police chief Senior Inspector Gilfred Baroman and his men arrested Jonas Degumbis Abasolo after he was reported to be carrying a .38 caliber hand gun loaded with bullets while roaming Barangay Liong of the said town, around 1:50 p.m.

Abasolong is a resident of Barangay Calaboon, Dumanjog.

He will be charged for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and the Commission on Elections gun ban. (KAL)
