CEBU (Updated) -- Jessie Largo, the suspect in the killing of a government employee's son, was killed in a police operation at the back of Deca Homes in Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City, around 4 p.m. Monday, October 16.

Superintendent Jason Villamater, chief of the Talisay City Police Station, said they were able to locate Largo after receiving information that he was at Sitio Aromahan in Barangay Dumlog.

The informant also reported that Largo was seen carrying a gun, he added.

Villamater said Police Officer 3 David Naraja Jr., of the Regional Intelligence Division, was hit during the shootout Monday. He was rushed to the hospital as he suffered a gunshot wound on the face.

Naraja is now in a stable condition, police said.

Police Regional Office-Central Visayas Director Jose Espino said Naraja will receive a medal for wounded personnel.

The Talisay City Government offered a P200,000 bounty for Largo after he killed Ronli Calizar last August 26.

Police said Largo ensured that he will not be arrested, as he installed spikes covered with sponges on his front gate in Sitio Aromahan, Barangay Dumlog.

Police also had to pass by a door that has a rusted sheet covering the upper side.

An operative, who asked not be named as he is not allowed to speak on the matter, said they had to crawl on the front door just to get to the house. (GAC/JKV/JOB/SunStar Cebu)
