The official Xinhua News Agency said Sunday that the landslides happened in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the province.

The local government confirmed the death toll and said information was still coming in on missing people.

Many parts of China have been hit by the country's worst flooding in a decade that has killed more than 1,100 people, with more than 600 still missing this year. (AP)
