Lawmaker urges village chiefs to monitor projects

John Dave N. Casas

A LAWMAKER has called on the village officials of Zamboanga City to help monitor the implementation of infrastructure projects in their areas.

Second District Representative Lilia Nuño made the call to ensure that the infrastructure projects being implemented are in accordance with the plans and specifications.

The infrastructure projects that are being implemented in the different villages include farm-to-market roads, drainage system, school buildings among others.

Nuño’s district covers 61 of the 98 villages of this city locally known as the east coast.

Nuño said village officials have the right to monitor the projects since the funds used in the implementation of project are taxpayers' money.
