IN THE hopes to give call center agents a chance to have time out from their hectic schedule, four individuals organized the Business Process Outsourcing Cup Baguio set to open on March 4 until April.

Close to 15 teams have registered for basketball as organizers are still inviting enthusiasts from the business outsourcing companies around Baguio to register until Wednesday, March 1.

Registration is set at P8,500 per team.

The tournament will kick off with a parade of participating teams with their muses followed by the opening ceremonies on March 4 at the PFVR Gym.

Official schedule of games will be announced after the last day of the registration with games to be played at the PFVR Gym and at the Engineers’ Hill Gym.

Maverick Punjabi said the tournament aims to provide an avenue for call center agents to play sports in between their schedules.

“Our company let us organize this event kasi madami na kaming tournaments inside the company lang, so we would also want to try to device a way na magkaroon ng opportunity yung mga ibang call center na makapaglaro din, lalo na yung mga mahilig sa basketball. Para na rin may stress reliever sila through competitive sports,” Punjabi stated.

“Hopefully we can organize two events like this in a year, so after nito matapos sa April, we are gunning one more probably in August of this year para tuloy tuloy yung mga laro ng mga participants natin” Punjabi added.
