A TAXI driver was robbed by an unidentified man at City Heights Subdivision in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City on Thursday.

Police identified the victim as Rey Crispino, 30, of Purok Punay, Barangay Bata.

Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, head of Police Station 6, said a man flagged down Crispino’s taxi at Barangay 35 and told the driver to bring him at the said residential village around 2:45 a.m.

Crispino was then choked and threatened at knifepoint by his passenger when they reached the area, Sedel added.

The robber carted away Crispino’s collection amounting to P1,400 and used the taxi as a getaway vehicle.

Crispino’s taxi was later recovered along Lacson Extension, Bangga Yap in Barangay Singcang-Airport. (GYM)
