A 37-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead in Sitio Calejon, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City last Friday dawn.

The Cebu City Police Office Homicide Section identified the victim as Ruel Escoral, 37.

The victim was walking alone by the roadside when the culprit shot him several times.

Escoral died from multiple gunshot wounds in his body. A follow-up operation led to the arrest of Desiderio Sales.

Several text messages in Sales cellular phone were believed by authorities to have links to the crime.

Operatives were looking into drugs as a potential motive of the attack. (JOB)
