Man beheaded, sustained 17 stab wounds

A 47-YEAR-OLD man was beheaded Monday with 17 fatal stab wounds, was found lifeless at his own house by still unknown suspects who are now subject of manhunt operations and investigations by Bacolod City Police operatives.

Killed in his house at the Abada-Escay Relocation Site, Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City was Reynold Arroz.

PNP Station 5 is now investigating the gruesome murder case as to the suspects' real motives.

PO3 Adan Labrador of Police Station 5 said around 7:45 a.m., Monday, Arroz was found bathing in his own cold blood with 17 stab wounds that were noted at the different parts of his body; most of the fatal wounds were noted on his throat.

Police investigation said that the suspects gained entry inside the victim's house, believed however to be drunk, by destroying the jalousie windows.

Prior to the incident, Arroz was seen on a drinking spree with five persons including a certain Michael, who reportedly brought him home at around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Police initial investigations disclosed that Arroz might have been killed from 12 midnight down to 2 a.m., Monday. He was alone in his house when discovered dead.

The neighbors and relatives of Arroz said the latter was very kind person and that they were surprised to discover that he was killed because they didn't knew of some one having been linked to him as his enemy, said Labrador. (Ted Llena)
