Man selling dried fish shot dead

A 43-YEAR-OLD man who was selling dried fish in a barangay in Carcar City in southern Cebu was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen on Tuesday morning, November 28.

Police identified the fatality as Florencio Ordiñeza Generosa, a resident of Barangay Sayao, Sibonga, Cebu.

Generosa succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Cebu Provincial Hospital-Carcar City, but he did not reach the hospital alive.

Investigators are still clueless on the motive behind the attack. The victim reportedly had no known enemies.

The victim was with an unidentified companion selling dried fish in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Napo in the said city.

The gunman approached Generosa and shot him several times. His friend was spared.

The killer then boarded a motorcycle driven by a cohort and fled.
