M BARBERS Salon, a brand of men salon by celebrity hairstylist Jing Monis, targets to open a branch in Davao City by next year, together with another branch of Hair Philosophie.

During the launching of Dyson Ltd. at Chimes Boutiques, Sales Street last Friday, May 26, Jing Monis told Sunstar Davao that he plans to bring in M Barbers Salon to Davao City following the success of his Hair Philosophie by Jing Monis which opened August of last year at Abreeza Ayala Malls.

“When we opened it (Hair Philosophie) here in Davao, it became very successful. In fact, we want to open another one. Hopefully, everything works well. We’ll be opening M Barbers, which is our brand of men’s salon, in Manila. So we’re bringing it here in Davao, and another Hair Philosophie by Jing Monis,” he said.

He added with the given long process, the new salons might probably be in Davao City sometime next year.

Currently, Hair Philosophie by Jing Monis has eight branches in Manila and one branch in Davao City. Monis said Davao City had been his second home during the late 90’s, even before he decided to put up a salon in the city. Every three months, he is in Davao, personally tending to his customers on appointment.

An average of 15-20 customers daily are visiting the salon branch in Abreeza Ayala Malls, which Monis hopes to increase by the time they start using Dyson Supersonic hairdryer in the branch.

“We’re starting to bring the product to Davao. It just arrived in the city recently so eventually of course, we’re going to have that in the salon. If we used Dyson, it’s faster. We can accommodate more clients this time. From 15 clients a day, maybe we can go up to 30 clients daily. So it would really help a lot in my business,” Monis adds.
