Marawi jail escapee surrenders

AN ESCAPEE from the jail of Marawi City voluntarily surrendered to the police authorities in Basilan, the police said Saturday, July 8.

The police said that Jabbin Moctor, 31, who is temporarily staying in the village of Marketsite, Isabela City, surrendered to the police around 1:50 p.m. Thursday.

The police said Moctor is from the village of Poona Marantao, Marawi City.

Moctor is one of the inmates who escaped from Marawi City Jail when the Maute group members stormed the detention facility on May 23, authorities said.
