MAXINE Medina is keen to take some time off after competing in the 65th Miss Universe pageant.

The 26-year-old said she's traveling with boyfriend Marx Topacio.

"Pinag-usapan talaga namin yon, win or lose, magtra-travel kami," she said in a television interview Monday evening.

The Interior Design graduate is also happy with her performance in the beauty competition.

She may have failed to win the back-to-back title for the Philippines, but Medina said she did her best in the pageant.

"Happy na ako, at least Top 6. Na-represent ko ang Philippines nang maganda and with my full performance. One hundred percent, naibigay ko na."

Medina finished in the Top 6 alongside Miss France Iris Mittenaere, Miss Kenya Mary Esther Were, Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar, Miss Thailand Chalita Sansuane and Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier.

Mittenaere eventually took home her country's second Miss Universe crown. (SunStar Philippines)
