Media group gears up for lucky summer visitor

THE Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club (BCBC), summer capital’s largest and oldest media group, will conduct the “Lucky Summer Visitor” for first timers visiting Baguio during the Holy Week, (March 25 to March 31).

Six lucky summer visitors, who will be chosen, will be given a four-day red carpet treatment that includes free hotel accommodations and meals, tours and tons of giveaways coming from the various supporters of the media organization.

The “Lucky Summer Visitor” or LSVs is in partnership with the City Government of Baguio, municipality of La Trinidad, and the province of Benguet.

The chosen visitors will have a tour in City’s premiere tourist destination including nearby Benguet after being handpicked in March 28.

The lucky visitors will tour the different landmarks of Baguio and Benguet like Balatoc Mines in Itogon, Benguet, Tam-awan village, and the Philippine Military Academy (PMA).

The LSVs are also set to go to Pugo Adventure, in Pugo, La Union along Marcos Highway for a zip-line and All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) adventure and to La Trinidad, Benguet for a Strawberry Picking activity at the valley’s famous Strawberry Fields.

A one-day seminar for BCBC members, upcoming journalists, and mining information officers will also be part of the annual search with topics ranging from media ethics, press conference organization and press release writing.

Bishop Carlito Cenzon is also expected to officiate the Holy Mass in March 27 for members, supporters, family and friends of the BCBC as they reflect on the upcoming Holy Week followed by the formal turnover of leadership and induction of new members. (PR)
