ANG mga University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball teams mohatag og lingaw sa 79th Araw ng Dabaw commercial basketball league sa Marso sa bag-ong gipanindot Davao City Recreation Center.

Kini ang pahayag ni Sports Development Division-City Mayors Office (SDD-CMO) staff Pocholo Elegino sa Davao Sportswriters Association Forum didto sa NCCC Mall Food Cove Function Hall niadtong Huwebes, Pebrero 2.

Matud pa ni Elegino nga ang defending champion La Salle University (DLSU) mopakita og aksiyon batok Ateneo de Manila University, National University, University of the Philippines, ang garbo sa Davao City nga Montaña Pawnshop ug Pacman of General Santos City.

"The sports directors and coaches of the UAAP teams called me and expressed their interest upon joining the annual cagefest," ni Elegino kinsa giubanan ni SDD-CMO office-in-charge Mikey Aportadera.

Dugang niya ang UAAP teams nagustohan nga mopartisipar sa kalihukan human makita ang dakong kalamboan sa DLSU ug Far Eastern Philippines (FEU) nga grabe ang pisikalay sa duwa.

"It pays a big help for the UAAP athletes to be exposed to intense physical contact, like the DLSU who is currently dominating the national league," asoy ni Elegino, dugang nga nakigpulong na siya sa Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas kagahapon ug nadiskurso ang officiating, dagan sa duwa ug mga players.
