Negrense jiu-jitsu athletes shine in int’l tourney

FOUR Negrense jiu-jitsu athletes, who ruled in international competitions, paid a courtesy visit at the Capitol recently.

The athletes were met by Fifth District Board Member Alain Gatuslao and Acting Provincial Administrator Lucille Gelvolea.

The group included coach Jose Fancisco Casilao, Dumau International BJJ Open silver medalist; Mary Kathrina Armonio, International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) World Championship gold medalist and Pan Asian Jiu-Jitsu Weight and Absolute Class silver medalist;

Jesse Fama, 2017 Dumau International BJJ Open silver medalist; and Sharr Krissen Juth Llera, 2017 Pan Asian International Open gold (No Gi Category) and silver (With Gi Category) medallist.
