Negros Occidental town employee shot dead

A JOB order employee of the municipal government of Salvador Benedicto in Negros Occidental, was shot to death by two unidentified men at Barangay Poblacion, Thursday, Nov. 3.

Police identified the fatality as Jolie Tolidano, 27, of Purok Culasi, Barangay Kumaliskis.

Senior Inspector Jovito Bose, town police chief, said Tolidano was with his relatives beside the road at about 9:25 a.m., when one of the assailants fired at him.

Tolidano was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. His companions were not injured.

Police recovered two slugs of .45 caliber.

Investigators are eyeing grudge as the motive.

Bose said a hot pursuit operation is being conducted for the arrest of the assailants.
