MAYOR Celso Lobregat said on Friday that majority of the bombing victims were already discharged from the hospitals in Zamboanga City.
Lobregat said that of the 24 wounded, nine of them remain in the hospitals including Charles Macker-Char, 69, a British national who is married to a Zamboangueña.
Two people died while 24 others were wounded when a bomb exploded around 6:15 p.m. Thursday outside the arrival area of the Zamboanga International Airport terminal building.
Lobregat said two of the nine victims who remain in the hospitals are in critical condition and their conditions are being monitored by health authorities.
Macker-Char, who was reportedly in critical condition, remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a private hospital in the city, Lobregat said. Macker-Char has undergone surgery Thursday night.
Lobregat said Macker-Char was placed at the ICU to monitor his health condition from possible complication, citing the victim had undergone angiogram two months ago.
An angiogram is an x-ray test that uses a special dye and camera (fluoroscopy) to take pictures of the blood flow in an artery (such as the aorta) or a vein (such as the vena cava), according to WebMD.com.
An angiogram can be used to look at the arteries or veins in the head, arms, legs, chest, back, or belly.
Lobregat said another victim who is also in critical condition is Rosemarie Ballona, who suffered burns.
The rest of the victims, who remain in the hospitals were reported to be in stable condition.
Lobregat said the City Government will shoulder the hospitalization expenses of the victims. (Bong Garcia)
