A RADIO report said the Nov. 23 carnage was agreed to be called as the "Ampatuan Massacre."

This was agreed during the ongoing 3rd National Ulama Conference of the Philippines (NUCP) held at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City.

It is the culmination of the formation of the NUCP into the largest ulama collective in the country -- a landmark event that signifies the formation of independent and imminent Muslim religious leaders for the Muslims in the Philippines. (Tashuana Alemania/Sunnex)
