Oil firm cuts prices

MOTORISTS had a brief respite from escalating pump prices on Saturday as an independent oil player implemented a roll back on its products.

Fil Oil Flying V said it has rolled back starting 12:01 a.m. Saturday its biodiesel and kerosene products by P.75 per kilogram and gasoline products by P.50 per kilogram.

The small oil player said the rollback reflects the downward trend of petroleum prices in the world market.

On Tuesday, major oil players Chevron Philippines Corp., Petron Corp., and independent oil firms Phoenix Petroleum Philippines and Seaoil Philippines increased oil prices.

As of last week, international prices of Dubai Crude stood at $73 per barrel. International price of unleaded gasoline was at $82 per barrel while diesel price was at $85 per barrel. (Virgil Lopez/Sunnex)
