CAGAYAN de Oro City Division Meet chess qualifiers in elementary level will still have one more tune-up games left after the just-held Milo Little Olympics Mindanao.

Kuya Glen Escarda of Opol Eagles Club announced the holding of the 2nd Opol Eagles Club 12-Under Chess Tournament here on Saturday at the Capitol Training Center inside the Misamis Oriental Capitol Compound.

“Instead sa Capitol Chess Park, gibutang nato ang torneyo sa mga bata sa indoor venue aron dili ma-disrupt in case mag-ulan,” Escarda told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.

In cooperation with Explore MisOr Chess Club, the day-long event offers P2,000 cash and medal to the champion with the second and third finishers out to receive P1,500 and P1,000 each.

Fourth and fifth placers will get P700 and P500 apiece also with medals.

Arbiter Jun Cuizon said rewards also await category prize winners for both boys and girls in 8-under and 10-under levels.
