Palace mum on National ID system (5:48 p.m.)

MANILA -- Malacanang on Tuesday distances self on the proposal of reviving the National ID system.

Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Secretary Ricky Carandang said the Palace will not take a position on the matter until they discussed it with President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

“I would not want to preempt any position the President might have,” Carandang said.
