RESIDENTS and teachers of a day-care center in Sagada, Mountain Province, are reminding their mayor of his promise to build railings for a pathway that the pupils use.

The pathway runs along the retaining wall of a newly built farm to market road that could be vulnerable to landslides, the teachers of the Aguid Day Care Center and Aguid residents said.

Aguid Barangay Cchairman Domingo Kelly said Mayor Eduardo Lawatan Jr. had promised to put up the railings.

The Aguid farm to market road was built in 2012 but a portion of it remains unpaved with concrete.

The old pathway was demolished to give way to the road. The road contractor left out the railing for the new pathway.

Kelly said he hopes Latawan will follow through on his promise. Gina Dizon
