Hagad died last June 7 after a four-year battle with lymphoma. He was laid to rest Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City.

The resolution states that Hagad, known to his friends and colleagues as Andy, was a distinguished leader of Negros Occidental province who has made his mark in the field of public service.

Hagad’s deep commitment and selfless service to the people of Negros Occidental especially to the plight of the less privileged remained unsurpassed and his dedication and tireless efforts towards the development and progress of the province has inspired many Negrenses, the resolution further stated.
