PDEA nabs high-value ‘pusher’

OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas caught a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust in Barangay Suba, Cebu City Tuesday night.

PDEA Information Officer Leia Albiar identified the suspect as Rose Dakay, a high-value target.

Seized from the suspect were 110 grams of white crystals believed to be shabu worth P315,000.

The 41-year-old suspect is a resident of Suba’s neighboring village, Pasil.

Albiar said they are still investigating to determine who are the supplier of the suspect, who reportedly claimed she was a house help.

The suspect reportedly can dispose of 500 grams of shabu per week.

Complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect before the Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor. Selling illegal drugs is a non-bailable offense.
