AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships 2015 silver medalist Nesthy Alcayde Petecio, who began her amateur career in Davao City, vowed to not let her recent debacle in the ongoing ASBC Asian Confederation Women's Boxing Championships 2017 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

She even wore a shirt, "Petecio never stops," and posted it on her Facebook.

Veteran internationalist Petecio bowed to Olympics silver medalist Yin Junhua of China, 2-3, in their featherweight clash.

Petecio, who hails from Davao del Sur, got the nod of the Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan judges who scored identical 29-28 on her favor while the Malaysian (27-30), Vietnamese (28-29) and Singaporean (28-29) judges made the Chinese triumph.

"Pildi ko pero para nako daog kaayo ko (I lost but for me I won the bout)," she said in a Facebook interview with Sun.Star Davao.

She added that the Chinese did not even hurt her a bit. "Walay jud sya nakaigo sa akoa nawong ba... wala jud nagdampi iyaha gloves lage... Igo ko niya kaisa ra jud to unya halos tanan batok na unya sampal napud (She could not even hit my face, her gloves could not even even touch me. She hit me once but all the rest she just hit my nape or slap me)."

Petecio also said that she even asked their referee judge about the fight and the latter told her she won the match.

"Pati mga kauban nya nga judge mao pud ilang sulti. Nag-ambak na gani daw sya kay daog lage ko unya sa dihang ang blue man ang gitaas (Even his fellow judges were convinced I won. He even jumped after the fight knowing that I won but my opponent's hand was raised instead)," she said, adding that their first round meeting seemed like the championship match.

She said, "Ang China jud ang gahi sa akoang bracket."

Since the Philippine National Games was reset in April from its original schedule in December, she will have to wait when her next competition will be.
